Switch nets
Switch nets is a framework for generating relational architectures. Existing urban structures can be graphed as an epigenetic field: new nodes decide their properties in an exchange of information with the other members of the graph. The graph is dynamic, evolving iteratively and continuously. Stable macro-scale structures emerge though the aggregated operation of low-level trophic rules across the graph.
Program is atomised into actions and events. Each packet of activity recombines with others to form myriad agglomerations, irreducible to simple notions of program or type.
A crucible for informatic, economic, material and desirous forces, Switch Nets reveals the structure the urban relational architecture of this moment and the next.
